I work with your team or suppliers to connect technical decisions with the needs of the business. That means agreeing priorities, organising the development work and following through on testing, releases and handover.
£3,000/month for 30 hours · Individual leadership days £900
When the work needs someone to hold the direction.
You may already have capable developers, a supplier or a product under construction. The missing piece can be a consistent technical point of contact: someone to explain the choices, organise the work and connect delivery with business priorities.
The right level of involvement depends on the decisions and responsibilities involved. We agree a role with clear limits and enough time to perform it.
Priorities need a decision
Translate business needs into a development plan, identify dependencies and make the trade-offs visible.
Teams or suppliers need coordination
Clarify requirements, review proposed work and keep responsibility for decisions and handovers explicit.
Releases need attention
Connect testing, fixes, documentation and release planning, with a clear route from development to operational use.
My current role at Kona Libre.
As external / fractional CTO at Kona Libre, I lead the technical work and develop the application myself. My responsibilities include development methods and planning, new features, testing and fixes, version control, release coordination and operational documentation.
This combines technical direction with direct involvement in the build. Client and project details are confidential.
My earlier work in sales and revenue operations also shapes the role. I consider how a system will be used, how a decision affects the operation and what people need to take ownership of the work.

£3,000 per month
30 hours of agreed capacity: the equivalent of four 7.5-hour days. Meetings, preparation, reviews and communication all count towards those hours.
£900 for an individual leadership day
For a focused technical leadership or review engagement. We agree the decision, scope, preparation and output before booking the work.
Availability agreed in advance
I respond within two UK working days. That is a response commitment; resolution depends on the work involved. Extra work needs approval, and the monthly leadership capacity does not roll over.
Keep decisions and progress visible.
At the start, we identify the decisions you need me to own or support, the people involved and the constraints on delivery. We agree access, the communication rhythm and how the available time will be allocated.
The work can include development priorities, technical reviews, planning and coordination with suppliers. A monthly review checks progress, open risks and the capacity needed for the next period.
A defined build or complex delivery workstream can be scoped separately. The leadership allowance does not promise an entire development programme or a continuously staffed support service.

Can you also build the application?
Hands-on delivery is part of my work. If a project needs a substantial build alongside leadership, we agree its scope and capacity separately so both responsibilities have enough time.
Can you work with our existing development team?
Yes. The engagement can sit alongside your team or suppliers. We agree decision rights and responsibilities, including who builds, reviews, tests and releases the work.
Is this available outside Newbury?
I work across the UK and EU. Meetings in Newbury or elsewhere in the UK are by arrangement.
Do we need a CTO or a project?
An ongoing stream of technical decisions may call for leadership. A defined outcome may be better served by a delivery engagement. The guide below helps distinguish the two.
